For a roof that combines good looks, flexibility and strength, the SLR II Standing Seam Roof delivers an attractive and versatile solution. SLR II panels are standard in either 24 gauge steel or 22 gauge steel with a 2 inch standing seam. Panels are factory formed to exact specifications. Further, panels are factory punched and notched to ensure better fit and modularity on longer panel lengths. The panel is 16” wide and is available in lengths up to 50’. Shipping restrictions may limit the length. The panel includes a factory installed sealant bead in the side joint for increased weather tightness. SLR II panels are field machine seamed in place, yielding a single unit membrane. The panels are installed with thermally responsive galvanized panel clips combining a 22 gauge hook and a 16 gauge base. These clips allow for thermal movement 1” in either direction. SLR II’s concealed clips attach the panels to structural members and minimize the need for through the roof fasteners. SLR II can be installed over a variety of substrates or open framing. While typically used on higher slopes and high profile roofs, roof slopes can be as low as 1/4:12. SLR II roof systems include a selection of architecturally detailed ridge, gable and sidewall trims to give your building an attractive finished appearance and long term weather tight performance. SLR II roofs can accommodate up to 6 inches of fiberglass blanket insulation for high levels of energy efficiency. All gauges of SLR II roof are available with KXL finish in 21 “cool rated” color options as well as unpainted Galvalume. The paint system is a PVDF finish applied to the Galvalume surface to give a long life color that resists fading and chalking. KXL is a 1 mil nom. PVDF finish with a 70% Kynar®500 or Hylar®5000 standard. UL 90 wind uplift rating is available with supports at 5’‑0” on center. SLR II is also US Army Corps of Engineers approved for wind uplift resistance.
